We stayed in Salcombe for almost a week, hopeful that the weather would allow us to get some coastal walks in however the weather got the better of us so unfortunately it didn't happen. At least we did get to Kingsbridge on a beautiful calm sunny morning on a high tide.

Next stop, the River Yealm near Plymouth. Again the wind was on the nose all of the way from Salcombe, but we made good progress using a combination of sail and motor. We arrived mid-afternoon and berthed on the inner visitors pontoon which was very sheltered from all winds.

We managed to do some lovely walks around the river as well as a mandatory visit to the ‘Ship Inn’ at Noss Mayo for a quick pint. We decided against taking the short cut across the causeway (Voss) this time as I didn’t want to get my shorts wet (this has happened before on an incoming tide and it was more than just my shorts that got wet ;-) ).
