A few hours work with the angle grinder and a stainless steel cutting disc resulted in 6 shaped cut-outs to fit the portlights.

Whilst it has restricted the airflow a little compared with its predecessor...we can at least leave the portlights open again without any real concerns. This is really fantastic news when temperatures are still in the upper twenty's for much of the day. Additionally with all the blogs we've read from cruisers in Greece that have seen evidence of rats on-board were now even better prepared!
