Our departure day... and the wind is playing ping-pong with us! As soon as this little lot passes over a similar wind is predicted to come straight back at us approximately 24 hours later. Until conditions improve we're certainly not interested in going anywhere.
For our first sail of the season we don't want to endure a hard (but certainly quick) sail to our first anchorage at Villasimius just 20 nautical miles along the coast nor do we want to be kept awake due to swell working its way into the anchorage so we are now playing the waiting game along with our little community of other cruisers. There will be a mass exodus here once conditions improve!
