Dream Catcher has finally entered the big drink. What an exciting moment. We held our breath as the folks at Dennis Point Marina lowered her into the water. She had inches between her and the docks on either side. Once safely in the water, Dave spent time running the engines. The port engine was giving him a bit of trouble (air in the line). Once he bled the lines, he slowly backed her off of the lift. There was a brief discussion as to who was going to take her to the dock. Dave was a bit surprised by my enthusiasm at volunteering to take over the helm. Dave slid her into the dock that would be her home for the next 24 hours.
We spent the evening getting her ready for the journey home. The kids spent their time sliding down the salon windows. They did it for hours. They also loved climbing up on the boom and nesting on the sail cover.
Nicole had her first dinghy lesson today. She is a natural. DJ and Nicole enjoyed exploring the marina by boat. Truth be told, they can handle that dinghy better than I can.
