We'll as most of you know the rain has been non-stop here in the Northeast, and when the sun did come out there has been no wind. Because of that we have gotten in absolutely no sailing. A matter of fact we haven't hoisted the sails at all since I brought the boat up. And, you wonder why I am a power boater. (Whining turned off) Getting back to my previous post and our investigation into our communication strategy. We were pretty much all set to go with a Satellite phone from Globalstar to use when we leave the states and head to the Bahamas. After speaking with some folks who have spent several winters in the Bahamas with their sat phone we changed our minds. We were told the service is lousy at best, when you do finally connect with someone; the call almost always is dropped. Considering the major investment to go this way we decided to scratch it off the list. Stay tuned on that front..
