Ready get set ... Don't go

Tomorrow was the planned breakaway date, but due to a last minute dental appointment for Nicole, our new date is now the 19th. No big deal it will just give us more time to perform some last minute repairs and provisioning. Well it's been a while since our last posting so let me try and get you all caught up. We have been very busy getting the last minute things done. One of the biggest challenges has been figuring out how much clothing to bring. We find ourselves continually bringing stuff on then taking stuff off. Living on the boat for the last month has worked out well and we have learned a lot about what we really need and what we do not. Last weekend our good friends Jack, Helen and Pat threw us a Bon Voyage party at our yacht club it was great seeing everyone but was hard to say good bye. The weekend of the 4th our families also threw us a party and at one time we had 17 on board. Lisa (AKA the safety officer) was a little freaked about too much load in the stern. Not to worry though, we never went below the water line. This week was my last week of work and my employers were cool and gave me plenty of time off to run last minute errands. I was able to get the water tank cleaned out so the little screens in our faucets would no longer clog. I also changed the oil in both engines and it only took me about 5 hours. I hope to get a little better at that and make less of a mess in the future. The big joke on the boat as of late is how I seem to have a problem with dropping things in the water. The tally for this week alone is 2 oars, 1 boat hook and 1 rubber hose (which we retrieved then lost again). It's rubber you would think it would float, also wouldn't you think they would make all this stuff float?
Oh, I forgot to mention we have refrigeration again, after nearly a month without it. The final resolution was a new compressor which I needed to hire a Marine refrigeration guy to install.
