We have enjoyed 10 days here in Hyannis Port. We have learned the layout of this town and it was starting to feel like home. Figuring out the bus schedule was a challenge. We would wait for a bus and after 30 -45 minutes would go by, we would learn that it doesn't come that way anymore. One day we waited at three places before our bus actually showed up. We did manage to walk three plus miles to enjoy the Pirates of the Caribbean II. What a treat it was to go to a movie and eat popcorn. We caught the bus back to the boat. Luckily, this time the kids weren't too freaked returning to the boat at night. I think we were all too tired.

Things that we take for granted at home, like quickly running to the store, can take a day to execute. We had company over the weekend so we had to provision accordingly. We figured out the bus route to Shop N Save, rushed through to get everything so we could catch the next bus. The bus didn't show up as scheduled and we had refrigerator items, so we called a cab. After another 20 minute wait, the bus finally showed up ~ so we took the bus instead of waiting for the cab.

We had a brief but wonderful visit with our friends. It was great to catch up on what is actually happening in the world and what is going on back home.

Today, we noticed the leaves on the burning bushes beginning to turn red ~ that is our cue to move south.

Tomorrow we are heading for Waquit Bay, because Falmouth Harbor has no moorings available for our cat nor is there any anchoring. In Waquit, we will be meeting up with our new friends on Dream Maker who have graciously offered to give us a ride to pick up some new house batteries in Falmouth. Next we will be heading down to Woods Hole than on to the Elizebeth Islands, Block Island, Point Judith, and possibly Newport.
