Hatchett Bay to Governors Harbour
23 March 2011
Windless day, motored 16 miles to Governors Harbour. At one time Governors Harbour was the original headquarters of the 17th century Eleutheran Adventurers who came seeking freedom in 1649. We dinked into town and were walking down the main street and guess who came by?? Doug, from Montreal! We hopped in the car with him and headed for the east side of the island where he and Meb rent a cottage on the pink sand beach. We spent the afternoon with them walking the beach and enjoying the gorgeous seaside view.
