Rock Sound to Highbourne Cay
29 March 2011
Bruce was up early to watch the unloading of the Eleuthera Express and dolphins searching for breakfast in the mirror calm water. By 9:30 am a light breeze had come up and we decided to head out for the Exumas. We followed a parade of boats out of the harbor with us hanging a left to Davis Channel, Powell Point and then the Exuma Sound, while all the other boats hung a right to head north. Pleasant conditions with flat seas until approximately 13 miles from Highbourne Cay when the wind fell light and came astern, so we motorsailed for the remainder of the trip so we would not be caught crossing back onto the banks with the sun too low in the west. Anchored off of Highbourne Cay by 4:30 pm.
TODAY’S PROVERB: 10:3 The Lord will not let a good man starve to death, nor will he let the wicked man’s riches continue forever.
