Jacks Bay Cove to Little Farmers Cay
12 April 2011
Three hour jib sail, anchoring on the west side south of the airstrip (out of the way of incoming planes!). Dinked over to Ocean Cabin restaurant with Richard and Joanne and had lunch. There were ten restaurant patrons and after lunch we all watched a 10 minute video on S.T.E.P. (Save The Exuma Park) and sang the Little Farmers Cay Anthem - Bruce even joined in! Made stops at two groceries and the liquor store, all closed! Supply boat had not come in yet, oh well, we're looking forward to George Town and a real grocery! We have not had veggies or fruit in about a week and a half (Bruce needs tomatoes for his conch salad and conch chowder). We visited the local wood carving guy's house and watched him carve wild Tamarind wood into original Bahamian art, which has been sold all around the Bahamas for the last 40 years.
