Little Galliot to Soldier Cay
08 May 2011
Light winds with no waves on the bank made for perfect conditions to fly the gennaker. Winds were only 3-7 knots, but with the full main and gennaker flying, most of the time we were sailing 4.5 – 5.5 knots. YAY! As we sailed away from the anchorage, water depth was around 12’ – we could see sand dollars on the bottom of the ocean! For the third night in a row, we are the solitary boat in the anchorage. We are anchored just off of the Sea Aquarium inside the Exuma Land and Sea Park, and are looking forward to snorkeling tomorrow along the shallow wall to see the marine life and the nearby plane wreckage remains. Watched Andy Stanley’s second lesson in the series “Discovering God’s Will”. There is providential (God is going to do it), moral (there are moral guidelines in the Bible), and personal (the decisions we make for ourselves). If we are in alignment with the first two, the last one is much clearer. Happy Mother’s Day Laura and Mary!!! Thanks for being such great moms!
