Little Grand Cay to Double Breasted Cay
25 December 2011
A Savior is Born! We hope all had a blessed Christmas! We decided we would prefer a quiet anchorage for Christmas, so we headed over to Double Breasted Cay. Double Breasted Cay is multiple uninhabited islands less than five miles from Little Grand Cay. We are anchored (two anchors to keep us in the narrow channel) between two of the islands with all around protection for any kind of weather, reminding us of White Cay in the Berrys – we hope to spend many days here in bliss. Today Gina baked pumpkin cream cheese muffins for breakfast, and made sugar cookies (with purple icing) for dessert while Bruce fixed many small projects on the boat. Our Christmas dinner was wonderful - we had a Butterball Turkey Breast, spiced sweet potatoes, garlic green beans and cranberry dressing – YUM!! Bruce asked what time the football game started, but then decided watching the new moon rise and tons of stars appear was even better. Seafood is on the menu for tomorrow night, as big dog is hitting the water early to catch our dinner (Gina said Lindsay, help! What is your macaroni and cheese recipe???). We miss our family and friends a lot and hope all had a wonderful holiday.
Luke 2:9-14 Suddenly an angel appeared among them, and the landscape shone bright with the glory of the Lord. They were badly frightened, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid”, he said, “I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone! The Savior, yes, the Messiah, the Lord, has been born tonight in Bethlehem! How will you recognize him? You will find a baby wrapped in a blanket, lying in a manger!” Suddenly the angel was joined by a vast host of others – the armies of Heaven, praising God. “Glory to God in the highest Heaven,” they sang, “and peace on earth for all those pleasing Him”.
