Little Harbour

After listening to the net this morning we headed out in the dink for Old Robinson’s Bight looking for blue holes, conch and lobster – alas, it was not to be! The great silver hunter found none of the above, but we did have a special blessing of finding a turtle community behind some islands – we must have seen 40-50 turtles, some sleeping on the bottom! My picture is not very clear, as soon as they heard the engine they swam like crazy! Turtle harvesting is now illegal in the Bahamas, so it is great to see that they are rebounding from the overfishing of the past.
