Copacabana, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia
18 October 2015
We flew from Santiago to La Paz, took a taxi to the bus station then boarded a bus for the town of Copacabana, the main Bolivian town on the shore of Lake Titicaca which has approximately 6,000 inhabitants. Part of the bus journey was a ferry ride – the bus was put on one ferry and the passengers on another to meet on the island of Isla del Sol. Our hotel was the crazy Las Olas – eight individual adobe cottages on the hillside overlooking the bay with all natural interiors (wood/stone). Each cottage was a different shape and theme. There were two Llamas grazing just outside our room (Llama lawnmowers!!).
