We spent the night here before our US trip exploring the city streets looking for coffee drinks and dinner. Tapachula is Mexico’s main border city with Guatemala on the Pacific coast area – our hotel was a 100 year old home converted to a hotel with beautiful Mexican antiques. Each room was named and decorated for a famous woman in Mexican history – ours was Adelita. We had a wonderful surprise as we were walking the streets – we found an El Salvadorian pupusa restaurant! Guess what we had for dinner??
