November 18 – 22, 2016 Acapulco is a large bowl shaped harbor that is lined with luxury hotels and beach restaurants and at one time was a vacation destination for the rich and famous, but now visitors are more likely to be from Mexico. There have been many problems here with the cartel and gang wars, but we felt safe walking around and enjoyed public bus rides around the bay to Wal Mart and local grocery stores. Our visit of course included dinner and the cliff diving show at La Quebrada with friends Dave, Linda, Peter and Margie. What courage the divers have!!
