March 14 - 15, 2017 We’ve been enjoying the anchorage – there are fun Palapa restaurants on shore with a small grocery (good fruits and veggies) just down the beach. We were excited to see Jeff (s/v Sailors Run) again – we met him in Ecuador in 2015 just as he was preparing to embark on a solo, non-stop circumnavigation via the five capes. It took him 203 days and many gear breakdowns, but he made it!! Congrats Jeff for being the oldest American (70) to circumnavigate the capes! Jeff is working on his second book about this journey – we read his first one “Cape Horn, Ahead or Behind, Forever on My Mind” about his prior 45 day rounding of Cape Horn.
