We had a very nice send-off from our friends, Sue and Tom Fischer! They helped us remove our lines and get over to the fuel dock. While we waited they toasted our trip with a wonderful bottle of Champaign. Thanks my friends, for all you do for us, we truly appreciate and love you so much! We made our way under the skyway and motored to an anchorage off Bradenton Beach. It was pretty chilly but a nice trip. We saw a very big ray leap way out of the water 2 times! It is always so amazing to see them do that and they always look like they are trying to fly! I yelled, “What?" when he jumped the first time and then Lane saw the second leap and yelled,”Weee!”. Yes we get goofy excited over stuff like this no matter how often we see it! We also saw a mom and baby dolphin on three separate occasions. That always makes our day! Our anchorage was not that nice, right next to the bridge, but it was safe and calm. Down side...our generator broke! Looking for a repair person in Key West. We will work on it on our way down in hopes of getting it fixed and not needing to find someone to work on it… Fingers crossed!
