Rounded the southern end of Block Island headed for the Race. The attached photo clearly shows the eroding face of Monhegan Bluff that threatened the Light. Transited the slot between Montauk and Block Island, south of the Race. I've done it many times before in a sub going into New London but never in a sailboat. The current is impressive. We went through on the flood and had to steer 20 degrees south of our in tended track to counter the current!
