On our way to Bahia Santa Maria

We left Turtle Bay 2 hours ago with the fleet. I can't describe what a beautiful sight it is to see 100+ sailboats with their brilliant-colored spinnakers flying. We all leave the children of Turtle Bay with a stash of trick-or-treat candy bars and dollar bills earned by chauffeuring people from boat to shore in their pangas, "valet" parking dinghies at the dock, picking up bags of trash (in kayaks no less!), and just generally making themselves accessible and eager. Their parents don't make out too bad either, but I'm sure they're all breathing a sigh of relief as this huge influx of people sails away.
The beach party yesterday was fantastic. We couldn't believe how much food was brought and consumed. Someone very generously supplied huge amounts of smoked tuna . . . we just need some fish and a smoker on board and I hope to duplicate the wonderfulness of it! We're working on the fish part right now as Tim has a couple of lines with some sexy "come and get me" lures dragging behind us. Susan's all set with wasabi, ginger, soy sauce & garlic, ready to cook.
Next stop Bahia Santa Maria about 40 hours from now. Should get there tomorrow night sometime.
At 12 pm we caught 2, 15 pound yellow fin tuna. Good eating tonight.
