Carnaval Ensenada-Style! The 3-day Parade included floats of many themes from Brazil, to Cuba, to Tiki, and Egyptian. Confetti is thrown everywhere like candy at American parades.
After hauling the boat out for some minor upgrades at Baja Naval Boat yard (more about that in our next post), we decided to stick around for another week here in Ensenada so as not to miss out on Carnaval. And boy are we glad we stayed!
The festivities were city-wide with daily parades, trinket vendors, food carts, music, dancing, and more... Gringos were few and far between (that's the way we like it!), but there were lots of Mexican tourists from around the region, for this all-ages FAMILY-oriented event.
Please check out all of our vibrant, colorful photos and more stories of this FUN annual fiesta here!
Stay tuned for more to come soon on life aboard
Due West, working on boats in tropical locations, and getting out of Ensenada, hopefully by this weekend...sailing for Cabo San Lucas, and then Puerto Vallarta. Tikka & Tosh send their love and will see you next time!
