Agua Verde is one of the most favorite and popular anchorages in the Sea of Cortez, and with good reason. It's been on our radar for years as our favorite Seattle restaurant is named Agua Verde, after this beautiful bay and fishing pueblo. See photos of this beautiful area in our
photo gallery.
Agua Verde is also well known for its goat dairy, and fresh goat cheese and yoghurt can be bought at the one-and-only local tienda. The sea caves, sea birds and tropical fish in this area are also incredible. We hope to return again on our way south.
On to Bahia Candeleros and the large Villa del Palmar resort to use the free wifi (for Heidi's work!) and cool off in their pool. Did we mention it's HOT here? and Humid? Who knew the desert could be so humid? 80% humidity in the mornings, usually tapering off to 40% by late afternoon. We've been swimming a LOT, sans cats!
Soon we'll continue on to Puerto Escondido, Loreto and the nearby islands. Meanwhile, be sure to check out our photos
here.
