Today was a good 65 mile day. Wind blew up to 15 mph behind us giving the Eagle Heart a push of 1 mph. Most of the time it seems we are going into wind losing speed!
Also, no going aground, we stayed in the channel, and nothing broke. Excellent!
Anchored at Sunset in Parker Bayou ( bay). Nice protection but for one small annoyance; there is a pulp and paper mill 5 miles away, and we can smell it! Just like being back at work.
Dolphins joined us today. It is always fun watching them swim in our bow wake. Susan looked it up; they love swimming in your wake because they can surf, and move at boat speed with little energy expenditure. Thus, they are really "hitching a ride"!
Tomorrow, we have a passage through narrow inland waterways, but are protected from the weather. It all works out.
