Kinky Boots

What the heck are you writing about John? Well, we did some more boat work this morning, and after lunch went to Times Square with some New Zealand (Kiwi) freinds of ours. The idea was to attend a Broadway theatrical production. Times Square was an overwhelming array of huge electronic billboards, misoc, and tens of thoisands of people from every nation walking about. Add to this a large number of sailors and marines on leave, and you have one busy place! We went to a ticket center looking for a play. I had heard that Kinky Boots was a great musical. We settled on that and purchased tickets that were pretty reasonable (75.00) and then went for supper. That also was reasonable with the two of us having a 35.00 bill.
We then went to a play about a shoe manufacturer going broke and being saved by a cross dresser that needed sturdier high heels for him and his buddies when they dress like women. Sounds weird, but actually turned out to be a good story line and great acting amd singing.
We then took the Staten Island Ferry and subway back to our boat. A most interesting first day in the Big Apple
