Toonie Town
29 August 2018
The winds went down a bit today, so off we went locking. We have passed 7 locks, rising a total of 128 feet. Yesterday we went up 117 feet so now are 245 feet above Lake Ontario.
Cambleford is one of the larger towns in this area, so we stopped for a bakery run, and a walk through the downtown. The city is known as the home of the toonie, as the designer lived here. The city park has a 20 foot high toonie, making it the largest toonie around. Cant spend it though!
Tomorrow heading up to Rice Lake, which is 20 miles long. We shall check the winds before foing across.
