Friends visit

I returned from the West last night after 16 hours of travel. Ug, not the greatest connections. After a good night of sleep, I definitely felt refreshed. While I was away, Susan started the grocery preparations for our Bahama trip. We are stockpiling many of the hard to find, or expensive grocery items for our trip.
Today our good friends Kurt and Leanne, from MV Festivus came down from Madeira Beach (Tampa) for a visit. After two years of living on their boat, a respite in Canada beckoned to them. They are living with one of their sons, while renovating the lake house they have had in the family for many years. They kindly offered to take us grocery shopping today, and Walmart was close to 500.00 richer when we left. Phew!
In the afternoon, another good friend, Mike Sheeny from Dashaway came for a visit. That is a thing with this loop, you make great friends along the way and stay in contact. Mike sold his boat, and is spending two months in a Condo here. The afternoon cumulated in a call to our mutual friend, Herb, from the Phanthom. He is recovering from knee replacement surgery in Jacksonville.
We all went for supper at a local Seafood restaurant nearby, and had a great evening!
As we were eating dinner, the roads were blocked off, and the streets set up for a music and art festival. Every school in the area participated with their choirs, bands ( symphony and concert) dancers, Cheerleaders, and numerous art displays. It made for a lively, and lovely evening.
The picture tonight is of us, Kirt and Leanne, and Mike. It was a fun day!
