We sailed to Hamilton Island from CID Harbour (circa 4 hr sail) and took up finger berth for 2 days to get provisioned, do some maintenance to the 3 leaking portholes - discovered during lashing rain at Nara inlet anchorage. We also charged the batteries from the mains, so that we can run the fridge and charge the ipad for navigation in addition to our 2 iPhones. We had the most stunning sunrise on Friday 13 November, as seen in this image. Tomorrow we set sail for the Lindeman Islands and leave the wonderful Whitsunday Islands behind for this part of our voyage through the Great Barrier Reef, so that we can use the NE winds to make further south and get away from the approaching cyclone season during this La Niña year.
