Back to Man O War

We are at the end of this leg of our journey. We are returning to Man O War to get the boat hurricane ready. This is a very secure, calm harbor. We are heading back to the states to spend a month with family. This adventure has been wonderful. We know it won't be long until we have our next sea trip. We wish you wonderful, exciting sea travels!

Tahiti Beach

Hopetown has many fabulous locations, but our favorite area by far is Tahiti Beach. We sailed the boat out of the harbor to the Southernmost point of Elbow Cay, set the hook and kayaked/ dingied to the beach. It is a popular spot for young families because the water is very shallow for a long way out. There are many creatures to see-shells, snorkeling is good and kids can even stand up with a mask on and look under the water. This is a great area for bone fishing. I found several sunrise tellens and some seaglass. I really enjoyed kayaking all around and we both enjoyed snorkeling. Rick spent a good amount of time cleaning the bottom of the boat. The water is so clear you can see the bottom of ocean floor through 7-8 ft of water.

May 6- Bluff Harbor

Vicki-80's day/70's night
We sailed a short distance from Green Turtle to Bluff Harbor-a tiny cove where we anchored for the night. We were the only boat there. Surrounding the harbor are very exclusive houses up on the bluff. We swam, kayaked- saw sea turtles, schools of fish, one very large fish and of course many colorful sea stars.
We took the dinghy around the corner to Andrew's Bluff and went ashore to explore the beach. One of the homes had their seaplane ready for take off on the beach in front of their house. Returned to boat for a beautiful sunset, very bright moon and starry heavens. Perfect ending to a wonderful day!

For some reason, I can't get pictures to post, so will add later.
