Back to Man O War

We are at the end of this leg of our journey. We are returning to Man O War to get the boat hurricane ready. This is a very secure, calm harbor. We are heading back to the states to spend a month with family. This adventure has been wonderful. We know it won't be long until we have our next sea trip. We wish you wonderful, exciting sea travels!

Tahiti Beach

Hopetown has many fabulous locations, but our favorite area by far is Tahiti Beach. We sailed the boat out of the harbor to the Southernmost point of Elbow Cay, set the hook and kayaked/ dingied to the beach. It is a popular spot for young families because the water is very shallow for a long way out. There are many creatures to see-shells, snorkeling is good and kids can even stand up with a mask on and look under the water. This is a great area for bone fishing. I found several sunrise tellens and some seaglass. I really enjoyed kayaking all around and we both enjoyed snorkeling. Rick spent a good amount of time cleaning the bottom of the boat. The water is so clear you can see the bottom of ocean floor through 7-8 ft of water.
