My New Home (Emerald Sea)
We began our journey on Aug 30th 2014, sailing up the east coast throughout the Singapore Straits up to Timon, then Redang , Malaysia for 2 days, and Redang to Koh Samui for 3 weeks . we left at a good time as Monsoon's season start in Oct.
We have returned from our first trip for 2 months around South China Seas (Tiamon, Redang and Koh Samui, Thailand) living on board. Its been a very good experience trip for all of us, learned handling sail, how to avoid bad weather, living close together. We were back to Singapore for one week visiting my family, catchup with friends, some work done for Emerald Sea, more provisioning to prepare for the next trip.
We started our second trip on Oct 28, our passage plan is along the Malacca straits to Langkawi by day sailing. We will stop overs and visit some of the towns, I actually very much love the idea of doing day sailing because we can get good rests, but of course this is not the plans, that will take us longer time to arrival the destination :(
We arrived at Pualu Pisang in the evening 6pm, lovely water and a pretty sunset as usual. We had chicken pie for dinner and great night sleep Zzzzz.
We woke up early at 6am the next day, as the next stop will take us longer. Steve got up at 4am to start the day, we have a good morning view, and not too bad of the weather winds approx 12-18kt, we managed to fly out the gennaker - I like to see the flying gennaker - looking so grand ) :)) arrived the next anchorage at Pualu Besar, laid back and had dinner at another different island, is beautiful feeling :))
The next stop we decide to take a slightly longer break (have a little spoil for having onshore aircon on board) we try to clear into Malaysia, arrived at Admiral Marina (Port Dickson) , is a pretty medium side Marina, got all the facilities, pub, gym. Check in the Marine, Steve and Tyler went to pool and myself headed to the gym, (I have been missing exercise for a long time) after all we get together to have happy's hour at the sail's pub (because the guys is happy always!).
We started our day going to town to check-in to Malaysia, took about 15 mins taxis to Port Dick town, nice littles town and had breakfast at local cafe. Steve been in a good mood, bought himself a nice diving watch and sunglass (please don't loose them this time)!; had a fish wrap for dinner and watched a movie, heading bed at 9;30pm (that is our usual bed time) Mmmm...
It is the raining season and we will be leaving tomorrow heading north, with more stops, Pangkor, Penang, Langkawi, etc.
