Made it to Grenada

It's so good to finally be in Grenada. Our friend Lynn picked me up at the airport and I spent the night at her lovely place near the beach since it was so late. I fell asleep to the tree frogs singing.
Friday Lynn dropped me off at Secret Harbor where I picked up our dinghy. I was a bit worried about the engine starting but it fired up on the first pull! Jason stopped by the boat later to check on me and say hello. He had been looking after the boat and is the one who delivered the dinghy to Secret Harbor. The music was going at Roger's beach bar and I thought about going there for a beer after dinner. But jet lag was making me sleepy and I made it an early night.
Saturday morning I was quite ambitious and decided to take the dinghy to the beach and scrub her bottom. It should be straightforward but I couldn't get the motor off and needed to go back to En Passant for a pair of vice grips. Once that task was done I thought I'd go for a run but it ended up a run/walk since it was just too hot. I need to get used to the climate. Mark arrived in the afternoon, right on schedule.
This is just a slice of typical life here. There are always tasks to do but few deadlines. Just about everything takes longer than you'd expect. But the views are spectacular and each day ends with a beautiful sunset.
All together Mark was in Ireland for 2 months and I was there the last month of that. It was a very unexpected side trip and I did my best to enjoy it. But, sorry Ireland, I prefer this island.
