We had never visited Comox, but certainly enjoyed our time. We had an excellent meal at the Black Fin Pub and visited the downtown shops and shopping mall. We also toured several local estates left from the logging industry days, and took an interesting hike along a trail to the west.
We took the bus to Courtenay to visit the museum (home of the "world famous 80 million year old Courtenay elasmosaurus") and toured the downtown area of shops. We have always felt that traveling by public bus was a great wat to see local sites and people, and our bus driver did not disappoint.
Our low budget HP laptop used for the navigation program died and could not be resurrected. Fortunately we always carry a back up loaded with the appropriate programs and drivers, so it was simple to make the change. Triple Redundancy!
