On Sunday afternoon, the Cropley clan arrived aboard charter boat Tarskavaig. The ladies were keen to watch the football - Tim & I much less so! We sat outside Wetherspoons while they watched on the laptop. When the patio closed at 10pm, Tim & I retired to the boat for whisky. From the volume of cheering we deduced that Italy had won - England supporters were in a distinct minority up here! Commiserations to England supporters.
Midday Monday Kate and Asher arrived - bell ringing friends from Richmond - and we were off. We managed to get a bit of a sail in across the Firth of Lorn, and then when the wind died and headed us we motored up the Sound of Mull to Loch Aline. We were in luck - the sky cleared, the sun came out, and we moored either side of a finger berth. I hosted a party aboard Eowyn, using the now cleaned BBQ (see the Newcastle entry!). A great evenings was had by all, finishing off with a walk through the neighbouring village.
