Malahide and Dublin

18 August 2021 | Malahide and Dublin
Martin Crick | Strong NW and overcast
I spent Tuesday relaxing in Malahide. I walked up to the "Castle" - which now more resembles a stately home - and was amused to see cricket being played in the grounds. I don't really think of cricket as an Irish game. There were some interesting art carvings in the grounds too.

Then today I took a trip by train into Dublin. Again, all the main museums are booked up - many as far as mid-September - but I was able to get a ride on a tour bus so saw a fair bit. It made for a pleasant day out.

The forecast for tomorrow is light south westerlies - not ideal, as I'm heading south, but better than the strong winds of the last couple of days, so I'll move on.
