Arklow to Fishguard

I was up early to leave Arklow - partly because I had a long passage to make, partly because there was no good reason to stay!
Easily off the berth, washing my hands after stowing the ropes, and out to sea. There was a light wind, but enough to move the boat so I set full sail. Visibility was much better, and I got a rather better photo of County Wicklow as I left - see the photo album (link bottom right). It was also sunny enough that I draped my oilskins inside out over the steering pedestal to dry them out after the welcoming deluge at Arklow the night before.
The light wind got lighter as the morning progressed. I had a few attempts through the day at sailing, but was aware of the need to get to Fishguard before dark, so most of the passage was under power.
On arrival in Fishguard, down went the anchor after a long day.
