Dolores Hidalgo
09 February 2008
The main fomenters of the Revolucion were from Central Mexico, where we are currently studying. On Saturday we took a day trip by bus to Dolores Hidalgo, where the father of the revolution lived. It took about an hour, twisting through the Sierra Madres.
This is the zocalo. The statue is of Padre Hidalgo. In the background is the church where he allegedly gave his call to arms. The church is over 500 years old.
