So we're walking along the malecon after dinner and a bit of NFL in town and what do we see? A genuine dilemma! After driving to the end of the road this truck apparently attempted the steps that lead down to the beach. Not a good idea. When we left the tow truck was having absolutely no luck hoisting this guy back onto the road. It didn't look like the truck could carry on down the stairs and drive along the beach. And every time he tried to defy gravity and head upward, a little more metal got ground off the undercarriage. What to do? What to do?

We've been here four days now--this is the first excitement we've seen! Oh, well, except that it rained last night for about five minutes. Downpour! Five minutes. Then it was over. Still, the people outside the bar had to come rushing in, all atwitter. That was pretty exciting, too.
