Seasons Greetings!

Pinata Row was full to brimming yesterday, but this morning when we walked by it was quite sparse. Business must be booming.

Probably a couple of dozen stalls line one of the main streets near our bungalow, all selling beautifully colourful piñatas -- stars, flowers, santas -- that are made right on the spot. The women cover clay pots with newsprint and paste or glue, adding long cones and other features, then hang them in the trees to dry. When they're ready, they decorate them in colourful paper and streamers and hang the finished work for people to buy. It's like walking through a piñata forest.
