Kevin- Warm & Squally
Well we have left the BVI after a fun time with the Foxy'a Cat Fight Regatta and Halloween Party.....what a great time! We even met some new friends from Seattle on a charter! We cleared out of BVI and went to Christmas Cove to get back in U.S. Waters.
Today (11-3) we left Christmas Cove just as a squall came in and headed over to Cruz Bay on St. John. After breakfast and a mimosa we turned and headed to Water Island, St. Thomas and Honeymoon Bay. We put up the sails as we left St. John and had a wonderful sail that saw winds from 10-18 knots which pulled us along at up to 7.5 knots. With following seas the ride was pretty easy and we even ran wing on wing for a good portion of the trip....awesome sail!
We also stopped to top off our fuel in Crown Bay since the fuel gauges are a little sketchy...ok they don't work. After more than 41 hours of runtime our little motors showed that they run about 1.5 gallons per hour TOTAL! Love the efficiency of these catamarans and their diesel motors!
We will be at Honeymoon for a bit, doing some things to the boat and catching up with some friends here. After that, who knows....We have no schedule and we are sticking to it....
