Battery Charger

Chris Bates | Cold and fine
The battery charger has been playing up for a while, lots of flashy lights and alarms. It has been difficult to recharge the batteries properly which is a bit of a worry as they are new ones and we do not want them damaged. Chris finally bit the bullet and has ordered a new Stirling charger but it is held up in customs in Australia. Although it looks fine in the photo it has been showing red flashy lights, I think it overheard we had ordered a replacement and has been frightened into behaving.
We had also ordered a battery monitor and had a call yesterday to say that it had arrived (it had not had to negotiate customs as it was just transferred from another branch).
While in Whangarei we shopped for veggies and tried again to find some silicone bakeware (for the Ninja). There were some items on the shelves this time but nothing the size I wanted.
We bought a couple of cushions to replace the old ones that had gone mouldy and I actually managed to persuade Chris to buy another pair of shorts. The old ones were more hole than short and if he continued to wear them would be had up for indecent exposure, especially as he does not like to part with his old underpants either.
I also managed to get printer ink, although I had to buy a multipack. On the whole it was a successful trip although I forgot to take in the documents for NZ driving license and the childrens clothes that I brought from UK to take to Christine in Fiji. I thought I would give them to one of the charity shops as I do not know when we will get to Fiji.
Weather continues cold and Chris's knee is playing up so we did not go for a walk this afternoon.
