We decided to move north to Whangaroa so left our anchorage in Otaio Bay and moved across to Te Puna on the other side of the Bay of Islands. It was very peaceful here, very few boats, but nowhere to land. You could go to a beach but all land behind the beach was private and no access, which of course accounts for why it was less popular on this side
