What a great 4th. We spent the day with family at my brother Brent and Carole's home in Hillsboro and then came home to make Steak Bruschetta-just like his...
Lisa loved it. With all of the fireworks this year, we went out for a walk at 9:30 and throughly enjoyed the show. Every direction we could see had a big beautiful display. We ended up on the 33rd Street overpass to the I-5 and watched the last of the Fort Vancouver show. It was amazomg and all only a few blocks from home. I am sure glad I got to spend the time with Lis while she was here and Stephen really ejoyed it too-what is not to love about two sisters wanting to be alone to just chat so that he can work on more boat stuff? Fireworks are still fireing, and we are off to bed. We are meeting Steven Mott for breakfaast befpre Lisa flys home to Scottsdale. Bummer....

Ready to go

A weekend of family events for the Fourth Of July is planned.

Spent the evening in Gaston, OR at my sister Tammi and her husband Doug's Gentleman's Farm that they have named affectionately "Thistle Dew." Why isn't naming a boat that easy?

My sister Lisa Mott is here from Scottsdale, AZ to help Tammi out after her recent surgery. My brother Ford Tannock, and his son Colton came out and spent the day helping out with Farm chores. By the time I had arrived after work, they had accomplished a lot. Mom-Jo Ann Tannock had made Chinese Chicken Salad, Colton had helped Tammi make cookies, there was a new roof on the barn, and so much more. Made me tired to think of all they did while I was at work.

Jason Estes and Cari Atzen joined us for dinner last night to celebrate my brother Ford's birthday. So I got to spend some time with them, and of course the beautiful Princess Sophia. She is now 10 weeks old and smiling and being her precious self. Sophia's baby noises are so cute. We put her on the bear skin rug and got a bare skin picutre of her. Grandpa Stephen, who we have named Grandpa Bly was stuck working on the cat. He was sure sorry to miss seeing everyone.

We are off to the Farmer's Market in Hillsboro this morning. Tammi loves the Farmer's Market.

We are almost finished moving into our last land based property. The next move will be onboard! We will have a large condo with 2 master bedroom with views of the Columbia River available for rent on July 1, 2010. You can be on the beach and dreaming that you are on an ocean within seconds. The condo was a great place to call home when we first brought the cat to Portland. Often Stephen would sail her up river and beach her to pick me up for some wine, crackers, avacados and an evening sail, he even picked up four children and their mom from the beach and took them out. They loved the trampolines. I beached it once at Wintler Park too. It really is amazing seeing this big cat on shore. I think it will be even more amazing seeing this big cat off shore;)
