A shot of the dive shop early this morning.

Everything worked out well this morning. I made it to the dock at 0600; was in a cab by 0605; and made it to the dive shop by 0700. Filled out my paperwork and grabbed some coffee and french toast at the restaurant next door. There were 14 people on the boat and the dive site was only ten minutes from the dock so between dives we came back to the shop. The main attraction was the shark adventure dives -- they feed the sharks and it's quite amazing. You drop in on the spot descend to about forty feet then over a ridge and down to the bottom at 80 feet where there's a rope -- the guide called it the magic rope because if you held onto it the sharks couldn't see you (ha!). Made it down to the bottom, held onto the rope, and they started to dump fish parts out of a large drum suspended about 20 or 30 feet above the bottom.

This is pretty close to what it looked like (still no camera so thanks go to this website) during the dives -- a frenzy of feeding fish and sharks with a few huge groupers (certainly the size of the old mini coopers if not larger), tuna, and barracudas thrown in for fun. There must have been at least 20 bull sharks on each dive along with some lemon sharks and nurse sharks. It was quite the show.
