The Broken Hill town hall.
Nice walk around Broken Hill this morning when we stopped. The rest of the morning and afternoon has gone well. We're stopped in Adelaide and should leave in about an hour. I was going to take the tour to the Central Business District but decided to grab a taxi on my own. Unfortunately, there were no taxis and the tour buses left -- so I've been hanging out in the terminal.
Finally saw kangaroos: sitting, hopping, and even some groups. Picked up enough cell service to listen to the last two innings of game 7 of the world series. A bit surreal to be riding on a train in southern Australia listening to the real time broadcast of a world series game.
There was a Titanic Memorial in Broken Hill. It turns out that there were at least three large organized bands in Broken Hill and the bands raised the money to commission the memorial in honor of the band members on the Titanic who played on while the ship was sinking.
