Another view of the Southern Ocean looking down at Shelley's beach yesterday morning. If you look closely you can see Danny paragliding on the right side of the picture.
Other than all the driving, it was a great day yesterday. Breakfast with Danny and Mechi then out to watch the paragliding and Mechi took me to see the property she had just bought -- 46 acres of rolling pastures with a gorgeous view from some rocks under broad trees. It would be perfect if there were no flies.
Then drove a couple hundred miles back to Perth and a very nice dinner and conversation with Andrew and Marianne -- then on to the airport and my attempt to save some money by sleeping at the airport -- who would have thought they'd close the terminal at 0100. Tried to sleep on a bench outside but it felt a bit too close to being homeless, so I never did fall asleep. At 0200 the guard came out and said we could come in since they'd opened the doors. My flight left at 0500 and other than the three screaming kids in the rows behind me, it was a pretty good flight.
Waiting for my flight to Hobart. Should be in Tasmania by 1430. Picking up a rental car and staying at someone's house arranged through AirBnB.com. I'm curious to see how this works.
