blue skies with patchy clouds
Last full day at sea since we're less than 150 miles from the BVI. It's hard to believe that the trip that took forever to find a weather window is now almost done. It's a pretty morning with blue skies and high patchy white clouds. The winds have moderated a bit so there's much less chop and the long period swells are only running four to six feet. We're motor sailing at around six and a half knots and all's good on board.
Saw a few birds and flying fish yesterday. No shipping at all, so the large group of boats we sailed through must have been part of a rally: the ARC or the northern part of the Caribbean 1500.
We should be in West End (Sopers Hole) Tortola tomorrow morning and then make our way to Road Town and the marina where this boat will be kept around mid-day Friday.
Potatoes, peppers, and eggs for breakfast yesterday morning and the gluten free chicken tenders with sweet potato fries for lunch. Kung Pao chicken over vegetable fried rice for dinner last night. Thawing the last of the berries for a light breakfast this morning.
