A gorgeous sunrise this morning after a night filled with stars in an almost cloudless sky. The wind died off yesterday afternoon with just a bit of teasing as it would start working abeam and then go back on the nose but it was only blowing 5 to 10 knots. This morning there's probably only a 5 knot breeze still just off the nose. The sea is very calm with just wind ripples on long period one meter swells. Quite pleasant even though we're only doing five knots and still not quite halfway to Bermuda. Plenty of time to write, think, study, and read.
So far life is good on s/v Serenity. No ships last night or this morning. A few birds and flying fish and every now and then a splash in the distance but nothing identifiable. Curried Chicken Cashew salad along with tabouli leftovers for dinner last night. Oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast this morning. Everyone's been catching up on sleep since the motion of the boat is fairly soporific.
