humid and warm
My room at Hotel 17 in Gramercy Park near Union Square and NYU in lower Manhattan. A pleasant enough room with shared bathrooms in the hall. Seemed a good value for the price. American Airlines decided that I should spend Thursday evening with them in Miami and in the air, so rather than a 640pm arrival, we arrived at 1140 and I finally made it to the hotel at almost 2am. Since I checked out around 1000am this morning, I probably should have asked if they rented the room by the hour. It was good to get a few hours of sleep and take a shower.

Went to morning minyan at the Tifereth Israel Town and Village Schul and then picked up some breakfast at Sarabeth's bakery in the Chelsea Market. Walked the High Line and worked my across the island from 10th Ave back to 2nd Ave while meandering from 28th St down to 17th St, then after a quick stop at Trader Joes, hopped the L train and the E train back to Penn Station.

Now I'm on an Amtrak Regional train heading for Boston. It's running a half hour late. Hope this isn't a trend.
