One of the joys of traveling is eating the food of the indigenous cultures. Baguettes and pain aux raisins in France, fried twinkies and other fried delicacies at the Topsfield fair in somewhat rural Massachusetts, and today it was fast food burgers in Phoenix. I think the partakers were a bit larger/bigger at the fair than today -- maybe it's the desert heat. And a dry heat is still hot.
Hanging out with my Mom in Sun City West: baseball playoffs and comfort food from Trader Joes (orange chicken, pub cheese with jalapeƱos, frozen chili rellenos, and frozen french onion soup). Heading to California (LA and Santa Barbara) tomorrow, then back east on Tuesday. Still working out details and timing for the trip south.
