For our last dive off Roatan we decided to go back to one of our favorites. We have previously seen a huge green moral eel at Melissa's Reef. My Dad, Greg had first encountered it lying in one of the larger canyons getting cleaned. It then swam off and hid in his cave and only the first three feet of the eel stared back at us. Probably longer than ten feet.
The mission of yesterday's dive was to find him and hopefully take a picture with the new camera. Scott had found a empty lobster shells and took a picture. Only when the flash of the camera lit up the recces of the cave did he realize that we were in the same tunnel system as the eel.
